The CoatXpert CM-7V1 Colour Matching Light Box is a professional visual colour assessment system designed to provide a controlled and repeatable environment for evaluating colour, shade, appearance and metamerism.
Unlike conventional colour-matching cabinets with a limited number of illuminants, the CM-7V1 is equipped with seven individual light sources, including two premium Philips D65 daylight lamps, Sankyo Denki UV illumination, Philips CWF and TL84 fluorescent sources, and four tungsten filament lamps.
The carefully selected lighting configuration enables users to examine products under different illumination conditions that may be encountered during manufacturing, inspection, retail display and final use.
The cabinet includes a standard 45° relative-angle viewing plate, allowing samples to be positioned consistently for visual comparison. It is suitable for evaluating paint panels, plastic components, textiles, packaging, pharmaceutical containers, cosmetics, printed materials and many other coloured products.
A major advantage of the CoatXpert CM-7V1 is its modular design. The platform has been developed to support future product evolution, enabling CoatXpert to introduce advanced configurations and upgraded illumination technologies as the product range expands.
The system also features an integrated operating hour meter for the D65 lamps, allowing users to monitor accumulated lamp operating time and establish a controlled lamp replacement schedule. This is particularly important because the spectral and colour performance of fluorescent lamps can change over their service life.
The Philips TL-D 18W/33-640 used for CWF is specified at approximately 4100 K, while Philips TL-D 18W/840 is specified at 4000 K. The 18W/965 family is associated with high-colour-rendering daylight illumination around 6500 K.
Order Processing & Manufacturing Lead Time: 2–3 weeks after order confirmation.

Light Source Details
D65 – Artificial Daylight
Philips TL-D 18W/965 – 2 Lamps – Made in Poland
The primary light source for daylight colour evaluation. The /965 designation corresponds to a high-colour-rendering, approximately 6500 K daylight fluorescent lamp. The CM-7V1 uses two lamps to support uniform illumination across the inspection area.
Key feature: Integrated operating hour meter for monitoring D65 lamp usage.
UV – Ultraviolet / Black Light
Sankyo Denki F18T8 BLB – 1 Lamp – Made in Japan
Used for evaluating fluorescent materials, optical brighteners, whitening agents, security features and UV-reactive components.
This type of 18W T8 BLB lamp is commonly used around the UVA/blacklight region; comparable F18T8BLB references identify peak application around 352 nm.
CWF – Cool White Fluorescent
Philips TL-D 18W/33-640 – 1 Lamp – Made in China
Provides cool white fluorescent illumination representing a different commercial lighting environment. Philips specifies this lamp at approximately 4100 K.
TL84 – Retail / Store Lighting
Philips TL-D 18W/840 – 1 Lamp – Made in Poland
Provides approximately 4000 K fluorescent illumination for evaluating how colour may appear under common commercial and retail lighting conditions.
Tungsten Filament Light
4 Lamps
Provides a warm illumination condition for evaluating colour appearance under tungsten-type lighting.
